Luann Hatane, PATA
Luann Hatane is Executive Director at PATA (Paediatric Adolescent – Treatment Africa), with a background in social work and a master’s degree in development studies. She has extensive experience in leadership roles within national and regional organizations, serving as a program manager, capacity builder, rights defender, and civil society advocate. With a strong commitment to advancing access to comprehensive HIV prevention, treatment, and care services. Luann is known for her efforts and commitment to strengthening clinic-community collaboration for a more impactful HIV response in Africa. As co-chair of the Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS and an active member of global/regional working groups, Luann has contributed significantly to papers, briefs, and tools that shape policy and practice in the field. One of Luann’s passions is facilitating southern-led linking and learning opportunities for frontline service providers, empowering them with updated knowledge and enhancing their capacity to provide rights-based healthcare services to the communities they serve.
Jenny Cozins, ViiV Healthcare
Jenny is Head of Positive Action at ViiV Healthcare; part of GSK where she has worked for fifteen years. Her roles in GSK Global Health and ViiV Healthcare Positive Action have included in-country positions in Sierra Leone, Ghana and Tanzania, focussing on behavioural change communication, and programme scale up and sustainability, and most recently, the privilege of leading the ViiV Healthcare Positive Action team. This has included developing its strategic partnerships strategy, with a specific emphasis on community-led HIV prevention and care for key and priority populations, ending paediatric HIV and AIDS, and gender equality and equitable access to SRHR and healthcare. Prior to this, she worked in a number of commercial leadership roles.
Fatima Tsiouris, EGPAF
Fatima Tsiouris currently serves as the Senior Director of Catalytic Initiatives and Program Optimization at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. She has over 20 years of experience managing, coordinating and directing major global health development projects in the areas of prevention and treatment of HIV, maternal child health including sexual reproductive health services, quality improvement initiatives, health workforce development training programs and implementation science research. She has been a longstanding leader and contributor to the fight for an AIDS free generation, leading the design and implementation of various MCH/HIV integration activities, serving as an expert reviewer and contributor on a number of policy level guidelines and implementation tools.
She is an appointed member of the Global Validation Advisory Committee towards elimination of vertical transmission of HIV, Syphilis and Hep B.
Agnes Ronan, PATA
Agnes Ronan brings more than 13 years of public health experience, specializing in maternal, child and adolescent health. Agnes has recently re-joined as Head of Programmes and Knowledge at PATA. Agnes was previously Technical Advisor for Adolescent Health at mothers2mothers, leading programme design and implementation for the Adolescent Health portfolio. She also held project management positions at the University of Cape Town’s School of Public Health and Family Medicine; and Department of Adolescent Health where she managed clinical trials as well as observational studies in reproductive, maternal, child and adolescent health.
Prior to that, she worked at the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, focusing on various clinical trials as well as observational HIV prevention studies for adolescents. Agnes is a nurse by training and has worked in research at St Georges Hospital and Kings College, London. She also holds an MBA from the University of Reading, UK and an MPH from the University of Cape Town. Agnes is passionate about programming for children and adolescent health that applies sustainable interventions, empowering communities by promoting home-grown solutions and ensuring that service delivery is embedded within the communities being served.
Sabrina Erne, Aidsfonds
Sabrina Erné is the Senior Advisor Children at Aidsfonds. She is an experienced Senior Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. Skilled in International Relations, Children Affected by HIV/AIDS, Foreign Affairs, Policy Analysis, and Critical Thinking. In her current role with Aidsfonds, Sabrina Erné oversees a comprehensive pediatric HIV program that includes community outreach, advocacy, research, and partnerships. Prior to this, she worked in London with STOP AIDS and before in the rural areas in Mozambique for 3 years with Dorcas Aid International.
As a passionate advocate, Sabrina Erné has worked closely with community based organisations, INGOs and governments to influence policy changes that enhance pediatric HIV care. She has also established partnerships with international organizations to support resource allocation, implementation and research for pediatric HIV.
Lazeena Muna-McQuay, UNICEF
Dr. Lazeena Muna-McQuay is a public health policy and development specialist with over 25 years of experience in the field of HIV and AIDS across Asia and the Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa. She has worked with UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNFPA, the World Bank, and other international agencies. Her expertise encompasses policy advocacy, mobilization, communication, strategic program planning and implementation, knowledge management, and capacity strengthening in HIV prevention, treatment, and care. Dr. Muna is a tireless advocate for promoting and protecting the rights, dignity, voice, and inclusion of children, young people, and key populations in the global health development agenda. Dr. Muna received her doctoral degree in Public Health and Policy (Adolescents and HIV) in 2004 from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK, as a Ford Foundation Scholar.
