PATA’s 2023 was a transformative year marked by significant milestones. The year began with the impactful “Dar es Salaam Declaration for Action to end AIDS in Children,” setting a powerful agenda that was carried forward at the PATA 2023 Summit in November. This event, titled “The Face of Care: Health Providers and Communities at the Frontline of Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Service Delivery in Africa”  highlighted the critical role of healthcare providers, peer supporters, and communities in shaping the future of pediatric HIV care. Further, the launch of the PATA Network Strategy 2024-2030 outlined a future vision to expand PATA’s reach and transform HIV care by emphasising locally-driven, sustainable solutions. The year also featured significant workshops focusing on the needs of children and adolescents exposed to HIV, underscoring the need for targeted interventions and advocacy.
