Pediatrics and Adolescent HIV Learning Collaborative for Africa (PAHLCA)
The Pediatrics and Adolescent HIV Learning Collaborative for Africa (PAHLCA) is a collaborative platform led by STREPP that brings together diverse stakeholders from across the African continent through an annual peer-to-peer learning event. It provides a space to share best practices, foster learning, spark innovation, and encourage collaboration in paediatric and adolescent HIV/AIDS care. PAHLCA also supports the uptake of evidence-based practices by facilitating the exchange of real-world implementation experiences and country-led solutions.
What sets PAHLCA apart is its practical and action-oriented approach. It offers a dedicated platform for sharing guidelines, implementation frameworks, and learning materials to improve paediatric and adolescent HIV programmes. PAHLCA maintains a regularly updated directory of Ministry of Health focal persons to strengthen cross-country communication and coordination. It also facilitates networking among country teams, encouraging multi-country research collaborations that advance service delivery and impact on the ground.
