A Community Guide to WHO HIV Treatment Guidelines
The World Health Organization (WHO) develops evidence-based guidelines for HIV testing, prevention, care, treatment and service delivery in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). Community representatives, including people living with HIV, are meaningfully involved in the development of WHO guidelines.
Globally, more than 50% of HIV infections are among people who are members of key populations and their sex partners. WHO has issued recommendations for HIV services for people who are members of key populations, to ensure that HIV services meet their needs.
